It’s SUMMER!! Every kid I have ever known is excited for Summer. Sure, most are thrilled because school is out, and they do not have to get up early or do homework. The reality of their excitement, whether they realize it or not, is that they get to be a kid!
Part of early learning is developing all of the senses – all 8 of them! Kids 360° Early Learning Academy knows that little bodies grow stronger, more coordinated, and better able to process the world around them when we activate those senses and give them the chance to develop during the preschool day.
Our brains grow and learn best when we move and get exercise. Exercise generates Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor, or BDNF, which creates new cells in our brains! Kids 360° Early Learning Academy’s emphasis on movement stems from this science and a desire to give kids the best chance to learn.
While traditional classrooms encourage children to sit and be still for long stretches of the school day, we know that movement is an important part of a child’s development. Kids 360° Early Learning Academy incorporates intentional movement throughout the day to boost learning and ensure healthy physical development.
Screen time for kids continues to rise and educators see the impact it is having on children. Kids 360° Preschool Director, Matt Martin, shares a challenge to limit screen time and spend more time connecting and communicating with children.
The brand new and spacious preschool classrooms at Kids 360° Early Learning Academy in Westfield, IN are intentionally designed with kids and learning in mind.
At Kids 360° Early Learning Academy, we see things differently than other early education centers. We love to see kids’ bodies and imaginations running wild! We believe that all kids deserve to build strong bodies, brains, and muscles, so we created a strategic environment designed to foster intentional movement and learning while teaching from the inside out.
More parents than ever are considering homeschooling rather than placing their children in a preschool class setting. As an experienced teacher, I urge parents to consider the many benefits of preschool. Preschool improves language development, social skills, academic readiness, and prepares children for their transition to kindergarten.
In what seems to be a race to push early academics, young children are
missing out on what we know to be a critical source of learning: free play. Research shows that preschool-age children learn best through play. So why is it being cut short in traditional schools? Kids 360° teachers believe in the power of play and its important role in kids’ development.
At Kids 360°, we are selective in hiring experienced teachers who are experts in the field of education and embrace our learning through intentional movement philosophy. Meet our awesome experts in our newest blog.
